ANDO's glass was designed by a leading British Designer Jasper Morrison, with the concept of "simple glasses that can be used on a daily basis" that was requested by ANDO Gallery. Slightest inclination on the side and roundness on the bottom give elegant impression in it's simple shape. This light and delicate glasses are made in local neighborhood in Tokyo by experienced craftsmen by blowing one by one.
“HIRACHAWAN = shallow rice bowl” are so-called contemporary rice bowl from Hakusan Porcelain, in comparison to traditional ones that are deep and narrow for keeping rice warm. Considering modern living where there is no need to worry about food getting cold as old times, ceramic designer Masahiro Mori designed them wide and shallow in order to enjoy it's various colors and patterns.
They are perfect not only for serving rice, but also appetizer, small dishes, soup, dessert and so on. It has been awarded with “Good Design Prize” in 1993, and “Long Life Design Prize” in 2004.
