Nanamica reinterprets Japanese-made selvage denim through an urban lens with these wide straight-cut 5-pocket jeans. Drawing on its strength in developing technical fabrics, Nanamica created an original selvage denim. The warp yarn is a specially developed thick, uneven slub yarn made by covering recycled polyester with cotton, then rope-dyed for depth of color. The weft yarn uses a thick cotton nep yarn for a vintage-inspired texture.Woven slowly on old-style shuttle looms while taking in air, the denim is soft with a natural uneven surface and open weave. This creates a fabric that drapes comfortably, conforms to the body, and develops a one-of-a-kind fade over time.
